The Ikigai Collective is an informal, volunteer-run community, not a company. Its fiscal sponsor is Futuroid Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company no. 09261523), which provides the Collective's legal and financial backing, including the accounts and tooling that keep it running; the community itself remains volunteer-run and non-commercial. These terms cover the use of this website and, briefly, participation in our community spaces. They are written in plain language on purpose.
Unless noted otherwise, the written content on this site, including the Lab Notes, is licensed under Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0: share it, adapt it, credit "Ikigai Collective", and keep the same license. Code we publish is MIT-licensed unless its repository says otherwise. The Ikigai Collective name and logo identify the community; please do not use them in ways that imply endorsement we have not given.
Everything here documents experiments by community members: what we tried, what we measured, what we learned. It is offered as experience, not as professional advice. Nothing on this site is career, financial, legal, medical, or psychological advice. Decisions you make with AI tools, or about your life design, remain yours; verify anything important independently.
The site and its content are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We aim for accuracy and honest measurement, and we correct what turns out to be wrong, but we cannot promise the content is complete, current, or fit for your particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the Collective and its volunteers accept no liability for damages arising from the use of this site.
Our Discord server, newsletter, and social spaces run on third-party platforms under their own terms, which apply alongside ours. Within our spaces, the ground rules are our three values: curiosity, agency, and compassion. In practice: engage honestly, treat others' failures as data rather than verdicts, do not spam, do not harass, and respect that what members share inside the community is not yours to publish elsewhere without their consent. Volunteer moderators may remove content or members that work against these values; we will always say why.
Links to other sites and tools are provided because we find them interesting, not as endorsements. Their content and their terms are theirs.
We may update these terms as the Collective evolves; the date above and the public repository history track every change. Continued use of the site after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
